I returned the router. Bought more expensive model. Now everything is fine.
Seems the same problems appears on cheap TP-Link routers when they are hardly used for a while. 1 year or more. Some tranzistor cold connection, wearing out or whatewer.

Put the black tape on it
I changed the settings to those you suggested, except for wireless 2.4 protocal - there is no "g/n only" option, so I changed it to "N only."
The only device that I am still having reconnect issues with is the PS3. I have gone throught the network connection options on the PS3 many times, but I still can't get it to connect.

The PS3 should connect just like the other devices. Have you deleted the previously saved network settings on the PS3?
Still no release notes for 1.1.3.181750 yet. Did they accidentally release something that they didn't mean to?
WE have the same issue with the AC4000. The parental controls do not work for blocking internet access at certain times. We try to block our childs ipod and ipad from bedtime till morning. No luck with any of them. Had no issues with our netgear nighthawk with this process. Waste of $300
Hi buddy Im looking for expert´s advice I have a wrt1200ac and I using a unbrand chinesse 2.5 case and a 500GB disk without issues and enjoy the hi bitrates of writng and reading io. I wanted to move to
1 an external raid enclosure with 2 ,3.5 disk of 2TB hitachi 7200RPM (usb 3.0 and esata)
Vantec Dual 3.5-Inch SATA to USB 3.0 and eSATA with JBOD/RAID 0/1 External Hard Drive Enclosure (NST-400MX-S3R)
or
2 a NAS disk like qnap or sinology (gigabit port) i guess here wont be a issues
are you guess if the router will support raid enclousers, I want this to reuse disk when I upgrade disk.I will start with a 2TB disk and a 750GB disk , later will replace the 750GB mayb for a 3TB in JBOD mode, have you information if the wrt1200ac will or wont support this kind of disk (inside a raid enclouser)?? thks in advance
How can I tell what band I am on
You could look in the Network Map or have separate SSIDs' for the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.
Thank You, I am new at this and 70 years old. I just got it hooked up last night.
Firmware is up to date. Not sure how to reupload the firmware. This is actually at a clients house, so I will take note to reupload the firmware. Any other ideas or things to check?
IOActive Security fix is likely one item addressed. See V2 release notes as this was fixed on V2.
Linksys claims 2118 error is new to EA7500, this is not true. It started with prior firmware before this phantom release. Engineering has no fix, they offered me a new EA9300 in exchange. They do now admit it is not a new issue to the V1 EA7500. They also stated this new release should fix the 2118, well gee it did not.
I hope the EA9300 V1 does not produce this error for me. I get it Friday, I will post setup results!
Something tells me this is not happening. Typical promises and typical failure @linksys-belkin.
For anyone reading this thread in the future. I found the link to a WRT54G2 1.0.04 driver on Linksys official website (along with a whole lot more)
https://www.linksys.com/us/support-article?articleNum=208638
And for what its worth the checksum for the one on linksys was the same as the one on dd-wrt.
Hi,
I have had exaclly the same issue. First I thought that this is problem at my ISP. After a few phone calls and checks they said that problem is not on their side. I admit that I did not belive them.
After two months or more, I started to search issues on my "new" router and then I also installed dd-wrt (version 33006) on my Linksys WRT1200AC.
And now router works as it should. No more internet dropping.
I hope this will help you.

Hi,
Had get this device to replace ZyXEL Keenetic. After few days experiments so far didn't find how to make it pass IPTV.
IPTV adresses used by my provider:
udp://@239.1.6.104:11111 udp://@239.1.6.60:33328 udp://@239.0.2.10:11112 udp://@239.1.6.6:44328
etc. (four ports).
VLC on Debian is used to watch IPTV for a long time, no any problems so far.
https://community.linksys.com/t5/Wireless-Routers/E3200-amp-Multicast-IGMP-IPTV/td-p/472836 doesn't helped.
PPTP. IPTV + Internet via LAN + Powerline. WiFi is OFF.
