Hi Sarah,
Thanks for the detailed info! That's the kind of stuff I need to get restarted with this router.
It's getting tougher and tougher to service these Linksys "Legacy" routers, but alas, I just don't have the money to upgrade to Wireless-N (assuming that's the latest technology) or anything else.
OK, I'm off to do the homework. In addition to the WRT54GS router, I'm going to have to reconfigure 4 PCs, three WET54G wireless bridges (more legacy HW), a Dell color laserjet printer, 3 TVs, 2 blu-ray players, a DirecTV Genie HD DVR, and a TiVo Series 3 HD DVR.
That wasn't a brag by any means. It's really a pretty haphazardly, sloppily configured wired-wireless combination LAN. I just wanted to explain why I've been back-pedalling a bit on the SSID-Key-Security restart. Obviously I may need to post additional questions here when the inevitable configuration problems crop up.
Then again, spending a any amount of time outdoors in Northern New England can be fatal at the moment. I might as well roll up my sleeves, turn up the thermostat, and get to work.
Thanks once again for all that great info,
Alan Mintaka
