I purchased a refurb EA2700 to use as an access point . First I am surprised I didnt see the classical interface to disable DHCP and enter the new IP for the router. Then I found that the only way I can do this is to set it in bridge mode.
After setting up EA2700 as access point , I find that when my tablet is connected to the access point I get download speed of approx 28Mb/s, But when connected to my Main router ( E4200) I get close to 60Mb/s . I expected this to be normal for a RF Bridge connection. However the Linksys Routers are supposed to be a LAN-LAN Bridge so the speed should be just as fast as the main router .
Is there a different way to set it up so that its not in Bridge mode example Cascade Mode ? Do I have to revert to Classical Interface to do this . Thanks
