Linksys was a great brand but they are now owned by Belkin.
Seems to me that during this transition things fell apart and
the consumer got the brunt end of it unfortunately.
In my personal opinion Belkin should have stepped up and
made things right.
It also appears that Belkin has kept the name branding.
Smart move for them with so many loyal customers to a
brand name which also includes Cisco (Linksys division).
Yes! I do own a Linksys EA6500 and gave up on it sometime
ago, realizing what was going on.
I switched over to Asus Routers and I'm very happy with them.
Some great suggestions have been given in this forum as to
work arounds. Open source being a great thing but it's not
the answer to the general consumer.
I have learned how to install and use it. Let me tell you there
are some incredibly talented people out there, that should
be hired to work in the Industry.
Belkin if you read this, I have owned one of your products in
the past and had cause to call your customer service dept.
That experience was a stellar one Kudos to you!!!
Now step up to the plate and do the right thing. Put your
fine customer service team to work.
Contact the owners of these faulty devices and win back
some customer LOYALTY!
