I am mainly concerned about the router showing its management access page to any bot that probes my gateway IP.
I don't think this is a terrible flaw but it is not as secure as a router that allows one to block "administrator" access from outside locations in the first place. I have a strong password but with this router, some bot could get lucky, or at least be given as many chances as it wants to roll the dice ....
Have you tested the "local management access" controls yourself?
If you have the latest firmware, are you able to log in with a regular HTTP connection even with the "HTTPS" restriction ticked on?
Can you defeat an unticked "access via wireless" setting by logging in through your external gateway IP?
I know the router should be able to see that in my testing, I am still inside the LAN, but as before, the HTTPS restriction is flawed and wifi restriction is defeatable.
