Hmm...I guess thats how Linksys is going to handle this feature even though I believe this is a most basic feature that other Mfr "home based routers" have. Evven some low end home routers have the ability for users to specifiy DNS addressing the pass thru the router to connected clients. I don't know if this impacts performances however realisically, having the router handle DNS addresses and converting them in the process to connected clients I would presume there would be some performance impact. Thus the reason some users should be able to specify DNS addressing and disable the router conversion to clients with out having to load 3rd party FW.
