Now, not being very familiar with recent routers, is there any benefit, for this scenario, to spending 120$ on a router <-> one at 34.99$? I am seeing dual band, multiple antenna, ... and am lost to what would work in a small office with 3 computers. Any advice on this end of things (assuming I understood the basic setup properly)?

I recommend never buying the cheapest product if you can afford a little more. It will just come back and bite you. Instead buy something middle of the road from a good manufacture. Make sure the new router has at least 4 LAN ports for hardwired computers.
